1、Sometimes the best review says but a few things, so here’s as little I can say about this item.
It is exactly as advertised, it is a breeze to set up, it is well manufactured and of decent quality, purchasing it here will save you (in some cases) over $100 (over retail) and it arrives quickly from the seller.
I do not have the same issue of the light fixture being too low as to catch my eye as reported in a previous review, perhaps the reviewer received a unit that was not assembled correctly (my eye level as I stand in front of the unit is flush with the bottom of the hood and I do not see the light fixture protruding into my field of view).
Easy recommendation here, buy it; be happy.
2、I was very pleased with this product upon arrival. I was a little worried about the quality of appearance at that price, but its great! This is the same rangehood I looked at at two local stores but they wanted almost twice as much for it!
I ordered the stainless steel and it is not cheap or tinny looking. It matches my stove just fine.
It is not installed yet (my husband’s job 
) so I can’t comment on its operation but I do not forsee any problem in that area based on the previous reviews.
3、Range hoods are so expensive. I was in sticker shock looking for a replacement to the one I had at the time. That is, until I found this one on Amazon. I couldn’t believe its price. I ordered and got it. Mind you, it is an economy model. The fan is a bit loud. The edges are not exactly square, i.e., I can see a little gap between the hood and the cabinet to its left with the gap bigger at the bottom than the top. But, it works as advertised. The light works. The fan is strong. And, it looks good. People really don’t notice the gap that I mentioned.
4、This range hood is a great value. It comes well packaged and installation is a breeze. The light is placed well in my opinion for adding brightness to the stove top without glaring into your eyes. The fan is much quieter than the old Nu-tone which was being replaced. High speed on this unit made about the same amount of noise as low speed did on the old unit. The fan itself is effective (especially) at high speed for drawing air away from the stove top and up through the included filter. The filter type is the Broan #41F Range Hood Filter. The filter is easily accessed and removed for quick replacement.
The hood attaches with 4 screws which are included. For making the electrical connection, I simply re-purposed a power cord from an old table lamp that had outlasted it’s usefulness. Installation time was about 10 minutes and required nothing more than 2 wire nuts (not included) and a screwdriver.
5、I am very pleased with this range hood. After checking prices in local stores, I thought it would be just as economical to switch to a microwave above my range when this was really not what I wanted. When I found this product at this price I was thrilled. The product was even better looking than the picture and I am more than happy with it. It looks great, the price was great, installation was very easy and quick, and the noise is not bad at all. Also, the shipping was fast.
